Meet our Teachers!

Christie McNeill - Owner

Ms. Christie has taught dance for 54 years.  She is a lifetime member of Chicago National Association of Dance Masters and Southern Association of Dance Masters.  She is certified in tap, ballet and Jazz.  She has won National Dance Awards throughout the US and has been trained by many well-known professional teachers from across the country.  

Her students have competed and performed all over the US, from Las Vegas to New York City, creating a very well known and respected reputation for the studio. Some of them are now performing on Broadway in Wicked and  the Elf   Ms. Christie herself has performed in numerous shows which include:  Follies 1985 - Ed Sullivan Theater, New York City, NY; Ted Mack Show - New York City, NY;  Channel 13 TV WHBQ / Quitie Dance (3 years) - Memphis, TN; and Radio City Music Hall - New York City, NY.

Morgan Beal

Morgan  has been dancing since she was five years old and is the granddaughter of Christie McNeill.   When she was ten years old , she was an overall top winner at Showstopper dance competition in Memphis, Tn.  She grew up in the dance studio winning outstanding awards in numerous dance competitions. One of her dance partners was Tanner Wilson who now performs on Broadway.  

In College, she danced for the University of Arkansas Pom Squad where they competed in nationals in Disney World.  

Morgan has such a passion for teaching students how to perform and how to dance.  She teaches our Competition classes and prepares them for performances throughout the country.  

Erica McKay Huffstetler

      

Erica is one of Christie's granddaughters who has grown up dancing at Christie McNeill Dance Studio since she was 2 years old and now has taught for Christie for 9 years.  She loves working with children and teaching them to enjoy the art of dance.  

Kara McQuay

 Kara took dance under Miss Christie's instruction for 16 years until graduating high school.  She has been in competition since she was 6 and won many awards.  After going to college she used her dancing skills by doing choreography for social clubs and theatrical productions. Kara also went to cosmetology school and does nails when she is not teaching dance.  

Sarah Yarbrough

Sarah is originally from El Dorado, Arkansas, where she trained at Bravo Dance Centre for 16 years. She taught dance throughout high school, assisted Los Angeles choreographers through Talent On Parade dance Directives, has trained for three years with industry professionals, and trained at TAPS, in Las Vegas. Sarah has trained in ballet, pointe, tap, clogging, jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, voice, and acting.

Emerald Kemp

Starting at the age of 2, Emerald began dancing at her mother's studio. Emerald is a 6th generation dancer who was trained by her mother, Ray Lynn Green-Holman.  She has extensively studied and taught, Pointe, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Lyrical in Paragould, Arkansas and Southhaven,Mississippi.  She is certified in Ballet through Dance Masters of America. She was a principle dancer of the Midsouth Ballet Theater who choreographed and staged "Peter and the Wolf" and "The Nutcracker".  She is married to Justin Kemp, a family nurse practitioner and is a member of Paragould Junior Auxiliary and Eastside Baptist Church.  

 

We are happy to anouce that Emerald will be joining our studio this year teaching Ballet at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
